From the day in 1954 when his name first appeared on a Broadway marquee, Harold “Hal” Prince was indeed the Prince of Broadway, a wunderkind producer turned visionary director responsible for every major development in musical theater in the second half of the twentieth century. Prince of Broadway celebrates his extraordinary achievements with excerpts from some of the musicals he helped bring to life, including West Side Story, Fiddler On The Roof, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, Company, The Phantom of the Opera, and his first collaboration with JRB, Parade. JRB was the arranger and supervising orchestrator, and contributed a new song for the finale, “Do The Work.”
