| Details | Staged! Portland’s Musical Theatre Series is proud to present Tony Award-winning composer JASON ROBERT BROWN in concert on June 27 at the Miracle Theatre. This solo concert will help launch Staged!’s summer-long festival focusing on Jason Robert Brown’s music. “One of Broadway’s smartest and most sophisticated songwriters since Stephen Sondheim,” Mr. Brown will perform a program of his own work in the intimate Miracle Theatre space. This will be Jason Robert Brown’s first time visiting Portland. A moderated question and answer period will follow the concert. Seating is limited; purchasing tickets in advance is highly advised. Staged!’s Jason Robert Brown Fest includes SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD June 18-July 3, a co-production with Miracle Theatre Group, directed by Jamie M. Rea and Eric Nordin; a late-night benefit performance of THE LAST FIVE YEARS, starring local favorites Isaac Lamb and Courtney Freed; and two workshops introducing young people to Jason Robert Brown’s distinct style while enhancing their musical skills (July 19-30; August 2-13 at Action Adventure Theater).
